Roles are reshuffled every game and never saved.

Set roles before dealing

Add the player names, then set the numbers of mafia, doctors and police. The remaining players become citizens. You need at least one mafia, and the combined special-role count must leave room for a citizen. If dealing is blocked, check these counts before trying again.

Keep the host view private

Suggest mafia count sets one mafia for up to five players, two for six to eight, and three for larger groups. It changes the mafia count rather than automatically choosing every role. When several mafia are dealt, each mafia card also names that player’s teammates.

Only the host should open the full role list: it reveals everyone’s identity. If all players are taking part, leave that view closed. After the private cards, the host runs the night actions and the group handles discussion and voting. The day timer offers 60, 90, 120, 180 or 300 seconds. Use it to keep discussion moving; the timer itself does not decide who is eliminated or which team has won.

How it works

Enter players and role counts, then pass the phone: each player views their card alone, hides it and hands it on.

Flow

Deal roles, pass the phone so each player sees only theirs, then alternate night (mafia, doctor, police act in secret with the host) and day (discuss with the timer, then vote someone out).
